Sitting on a rural 10-acre plot, exudes rugged, western spirit with a 26-foot Native American Statue looking over a corral where esurient equestrians can hitch their horse and sidle in for sustenance. Traditional transports from hot rods to hogs find ample parking, but all must answer to the life-size John Wayne cut out residing within, which is undefeated in contests of starting, awkward silence, and staying out of the z-axis.

Lazy hands learn the value of an hour's work when grabbing the house specialty buffalo burger ($9.75), with possible tack-ons such as Ortega chiles, bacon, or guacamole ($1 each). Deep Pit Beef is parceled out to tortillas and plates with favorites such as the "Scotty Special", featuring two deep pit tacos ($6.25), and the Deep Pit Dinner, served with chili beans and salad ($9.50). When a chill known only to wolves and the forsaken settles in, "Ethel's" keeps patrons warm with an indoor fireplace and outdoor patio heaters while the toughest cookies can wrangle a shivery, sweet "Lil Bit's" brownie sundae ($3.50).
